IGF-1LR3
IGF-1LR3 (Long Arg3 IGF-1) is a recombinant 83-amino acid IGF-1 analog carrying an N-terminal 13-residue extension and an Arg3 substitution that disrupts high-affinity binding to IGF-binding proteins. Eliminating IGFBP sequestration results in 2-3x greater potency at the IGF-1 receptor in cell culture relative to the native protein, while downstream PI3K/AKT and MAPK/ERK cascade activation follows the same IGF-1R-mediated signaling architecture. It is the preferred tool for studies requiring full IGF-1R pathway engagement without the confounding variable of endogenous IGFBP competition. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
